Château La Vaisinerie
Bordeaux, France
Château La Vaisinerie is a former outbuilding of Château de Puisseguin. The property was built in two stages: the first around 1685 with the construction of the main house; the second in 1718 for operating buildings. The walls of Château La Vaisinerie are imbued with this rich past, as evidenced by the engraving from 1718 on the wall of the wine cellar. Château La Vaisinerie is located on the hills of Puisseguin, at 6 miles from Saint-Emilion. It produces Puisseguin Saint-Emilion red wines, with 91% of Merlot and 9% of Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vineyard is 35 years old. The appellation Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion is said "satellite" of Saint-Emilion. This appellation covers 730 ha. In 2004, the Bessede family, owner until 2019, renovated the estate while respecting the architectural practices of the time. Since July 2019, Alain Moses is the new owner of Château La Vaisinerie. After spending 20 years as a broker, Alain created TWINS, a trading company specializing in Bordeaux grands crus, a company managed today by his 2 sons, Anthony and Sébastien. The responsible farming practices on its vineyard of 13 ha favors the blossoming of local biodiversity, real preoccupation on the property.
